Road Trip Pro Grill SS is the best of the best August 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I researched the Coleman grills before my purchase. I tried out the LXE my friend had and liked it, but the surface area was not large enough and it was dificult to clean. The grills were not porcelein coated, which is the only way to go and the Pro Grill SS has this as a standard. The Pro Grill also has a temperature gauge read out on the lid for the Chefs that cook by temp. The side shelfs are not going to melt and they fold into the cover surface when moving or storage. It is built better and yes, it does weigh more, but easy to move around. This is the perfect grill for camping and will last for years to come. I put aluminum foil in the bottom then lava rocks around the burners, works great. This grill can be used as a smoker where the LXE can not. You have 24,000 total BTU where the LXE has only 20,000 BTU. You can use it as a gas stove for large pot cooking like for crabs, potatoes, or any type of frying pan, works great. I gave this Pro Grill 5 stars and I BBQ all the time.
King of the Road August 25, 2008 This grill is certainly sturdy and puts out the heat. No criticisms except that it is a bit heavy and big for a road trip grill, if weight and size is a problem or you want the grill and bag accessories you should go with the "Road Trip" and not the "PRO SS".
Coleman Roadtrip Grill Pro August 8, 2008 A nice grill but most accessories ( like griddles )do not fit on this model. Also it can go to the 400 - 500 degree range even on low setting.

Looks like a very nice unit,I have used it now and "WOW", it's great.A little heavy but i can handle it just fine.
great grill in a compact size July 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I did a lot of research to find a grill that was a combination of powerful, and wouldn't be too large on my terrace. This one is definitely both. I recommend it highly. You won't find all the features of a larger grill like a rotisserie or a side stove burner but the size and portability features were more important to me and the food always tastes great.
