I purchased this cabana for the beach as a way to keep my new baby out of the sun. It was wonderful. The built in sand bags worked wonders to keep the tent in place during some very windy times. With a low beach chair I could sit in the front as the kids played. When the sand started blowing even the adults were using the cabana for protection!

This is just the right size for a family of four like ours. I have two younger children 8 and 4 and we will fit just right. Not necessarily to lounge all at once in, but taking turns to get out of the sun for awhile will be great. Even if you wanted to lounge all at once in, you could, just it would be cozy:) I like the tarp for the flooring. Easy to wash and you don't have to sit in the sand. The poles are great and easy to use. The tent was quick to put together and and sturdy. Windows all along the middle can be opened or closed. It provides a nice breeze to keep you cooler. I haven't taken it to the beach yet, just in our front yard; however it did weather some thunderstorm and wind just fine. We leave in a couple of weeks for Flordia, and I'm betting it's gonna be great. Can't say how it will stake into the sand with the normal metal stakes provided, but it does have several pockets to put sand in to hold down the tent as well. I'm anticipating no problems.

I was hesitant to purchase this item based on some of the reviews I read... but I am SO GLAD that I did! We went to Nantucket this month to the beach, where it tends to be a little windy... but this cabana was great! We didn't even have to use the steaks. We only used the sand bags on the beach. We have 3 small kids and all were able to sit in it. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because it is a little hard to put it back in the bag... but if you roll it nice and tight, it IS doable!! Also, ours did NOT come with instructions, but my husband figured it out, and once he did, it was then easy to set-up. We had people come up to us on the beach saying how great it was. I like the "window ties" it has so that you can tie up the window flaps for some more air flow. It does not have an extended floor that comes out like some others do, but we just put one of our own blankets and it made it longer. This is so worth buying and the price is awesome!!

Add a half star. This served the purpose quite well and the price was right. It was not hard to set up once I got the hang of it. But it was annoying to have it advertised as being a beach shelter and NOT having stakes for sand. The instructions said you should have special sand stakes which were not included. the other stakes seemed to work ok, but we filled the sand bags and covered the edge of the shelter with sand. Also, it was advertised as having zippered windows. There were no zippers. This would be great if it were a tad bigger. It is a good size if you have one little one to put in there. but it blocked the wind and that's all I wanted anyway
