| Customer Reviews: Warm Sleeping Bag April 4, 2010 Ashley M. Alvarado (nomads) This sleeping bag is incredibly warm. I used it this past week on a camping trip in temps from the 20s-30s. I was immediately warmed when I slipped inside and I did not get cold throughout the night. The foot room is very nice also. There are a few modifications I would make to this sleeping bag. First, it is a bit large to take backpacking. It comes with a nice compression sack but it seems to big to take along if you are doing some serious backcountry stuff (I was car camping so it was not an issue). Second, it feels narrow, I am 5'10 140pounds and it felt a bit narrow through the body, but it wasn't uncomfortable (a large framed person would probably have trouble). Third and last, the zipper works great until you get it closer to your head, then you have to struggle a little bit to get it zipped all the way, it is especially difficult if you are already wrapped up and you have to stick your hand out of the warmth of the bag to zip it up from the outside. Overall, this is a very warm and comfortable sleeping bag and it is a great deal for the low price it is being offered. I do not regret my purchase.
Eureka, I've found it! March 17, 2010 M. Grondin (North Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an extremely warm and comfortable sleeping bag. It seems to be very well constructed. I backpacked out to a remote campsite a few days ago at the beginning or March with nighttime lows in the mid 30's and this bag was very comfortable ... probably the best night's sleep I've ever had camping. THe pillow holder worked great as did the stash pocket inside. My only complaint is that I wished it was able to get more compact inside the compression sack. It fit inside the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack, but it filled every nook and cranny of it. Overall, I'm very impressed and will probably never have to buy another sleeping bag for years to come.
Fantastic performance in a 0-degree bag. February 3, 2010 S. Lindsey (Netherlands) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one of these to take to Punxsutawney, PA, for Groundhog Day, because there were no hotel rooms available. I parked my truck behind the library and crawled into the bag. I was sweating within the first ten minutes, despite the sub-zero weather outside. I slept around five hours, and when I woke up the truck windows were completely frozen over - ice from front to back. Temp reading said it was 5 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside, but in the bag I was toasty. Could not believe how efficient this bag was! It's not the first zero degree bag I've owned, in fact I wanted another Nebo (those are awesome), but couldn't get one in time so had to get this bag instead. Let me tell you, this is every bit as good as the Nebo! If you buy this bag, you will not be disappointed. It's soft as well as warm, plenty of loft, a nice, rugged shell, and even has storage pockets inside (ROCKS!) for your iPod and flashlight. Another nice feature is the pillow pocket behind the hood, which holds your pillow, which means it won't go sliding away like a bar of wet soap while you sleep. I absolutely recommend this bag to anyone who will be sleeping in a cold spot.
