Product Description Delivering exceptional warmth and dryness in the coldest of environments, the Helly Hansen Prowool pant for Women is the ideal baselayer for cold weather activities. Quick drying, lightweight and antibacterial, the Prowool Pants will keep your lower extremities warm, dry and comfortable for a day of riding lifts or for a week in the backcountry.
Amazon.com Product Description The Helly Hansen Women's Prowool Pants provide optimum cold-weather protection for rigorous outdoor activities in a base layer that both insulates and manages moisture. HH Warm base layers provide the insulation you need when you stop moving and wick away moisture for fast evaporation on the outer layer, managing your body's heat as you exert. With an inner mesh of Lifa T3 (Thermic Tube Technology) that quickly evacuates moisture and a superfine outer layer of merino wool for warmth with zero-itch factor, the Prowool Pants mimic the fur of polar bears, making arctic temperatures manageable for everyone. The Prowool pants fit close to your body as a base layer should. With flat-lock stitching construction the pants offer zero-abrasion comfort, and the low-bulk cuffs make it easy to layer the pants. Helly Hansen believes the key to staying warm is staying dry and has designed its baselayers with this in mind. Helly Hansen offers a 100 percent money-back performance guarantee that the Prowool Pants will perform better than any other baselayer you have used. If the Prowool Pants do not meet this expectation, then you can send them back to Helly Hansen within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Specifications: - HH Warm baselayer

Manufacturer Warranty 30-day performance guarantee About Helly Hansen For more than 130 years, Helly Hansen has been at the forefront of product development and innovation. Since 1877, when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen made his first oilskin waterproof jackets, the company has pushed the boundaries of fabric technologies. Helly and his wife Maren Margrethe gathered a stock of coarse linen and linseed oil. They designed and sewed jackets, trousers, and sou'wester hats for ocean use. Then Helly Juell applied oil to the garments and dried them before an open fire. Helly Hansen's waterproofs were a great success. In that first year, 1877, they produced and sold 2,000 items, from clothes to tarpaulins. Within five years they sold 10,000 pieces. The business was officially formed in 1877. Helly Hansen was on the map, but his enquiring mind continually sought to diversify. He knew that the principle of lightweight waterproof fabrics must have multiple applications. The key to success was testing all his products before they were offered for sale. Quality was crucial. Helly Hansen's technical specifications were high, and so were the prices. But demand for his product continued to grow. Many years later and with numerous new fabrics and technologies available, the evolution of breathable, waterproof jackets had a profound effect on the outdoor industry. Now everyone who participated in high-activity sport could expect their clothing to work with them, not against them. It was a major catalyst. From its roots in providing sturdy, waterproof clothing for fishermen, Helly Hansen now designed technical garments, base, insulation, and protective layers. Now, more than 130 years since Helly began his work, Helly Hansen is a global company and is represented in more than 20 countries, with more than 500 individual product lines for men, women, and children. Helly Hansen provides technical clothing for workwear and action sports for all seasons.

Warm, light, and wicks sweat November 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased these pants for my wife to convince her that skiing would be fun even if it's cold outside. She's worn them and agrees that they are deceptively warm and light weight.
Now the fun really begins.
