I picked this particular knife for the locking, partially serated blade.
Haven't got much use on it yet, but feels very solid. I like the lack of tweezers, toothpick. Always have a Vic Classic in my first aid kit so if I need those, I've still got them.

Please not that I have not taken this knife into the forest and field tested it just yet. This comment is on the perceived quality at initial inspection. My buddy is more a "knife person" and he once told me that he would love to have a swiss army knife if only they had a locking blade. behold the one-hand trekker. I bought one for him for his birthday and one for myself. He claims that is of a very good quality and he is very happy with this knife.
Missing tweezers and toothpick. Get Trekker instead. July 4, 2008

FYI this one is missing the tweezers and toothpick. Apparently, in the Bundeswehr, people are more concerned with big problems than small ones.

This is the German Army Knife (issued knife). It's a great knife!! As all other Victorinox products, it won't let you down.
