Product Description The Columbia Women's Packus Ridge Omni-Tech Hiking Boots have waterproof breathable membranes that keep your feet dry when you hike in rain or splash through a stream. Plus these membranes let your sweat vapors escape. A contoured footbed and cushy midsole give you support and absorb shock so you can hike longer. A nylon shank in the midsole provides torsional rigidity and additional support for uneven terrain. The rubber outsole grips dirt, mud, and rocks to keep you upright.

Great price, decent shoe December 17, 2008 These shoes are pretty nice for $30. The insoles are very thin and provide little cushioning so I replaced them for $10. My only complaint is that on the outside of the ankles they rub just a little but not enough to cause blisters or callouses. (I have a narrow foot and a high arch.) All in all, a good shoe for the money.
Have Them on Right Now Actually December 16, 2008 Had only dress and athletic shoes in the closet, bought these for vacation to cold/wet climate of Northern Germany. Impressed on comfort here in States when I tried to wear them in. Walked 10 miles plus in Germany a day, beautiful fit, warm toes- excellent boot. Can't say anything about ruggedness yet, haven't hit any wilderness hiking--but there's 2 inches of ice on the ground last two days, and walks with the dog are dry, warm, and with great traction. For the price I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
columbia packus ridge boot 12 d is my pr. December 12, 2008 ive worn these boots for a month now most everyday, took them whitetail deer hunting, run my charter fishing boat with them,& still dont want to take them off around in house. most comfy boot i have right now. i think i should buy another pair for myself, as i bought a pr for my son & a buddy & they both like them as well. they may change the style or construction !hope not
Too Narrow December 7, 2008 This boot is too narrow in the toe. It feels like a narrow size and not medium. The heel and mid-section are fine but when it comes to the toe it is not comfortable. I envision heat, pain and blisters after a few hours of hiking. I will be returning them. Otherwise they are a great buy and the constuction is excellent.
Great boots for the price! December 4, 2008 I got these shoes a day before the first snow in illinois. They are definitely worth the $45 i paid for them. They are the most comfortable hiking boot i tried on, even more comfortable than the more expensive models from competitors. More than that, these guys REALLY are waterproof. I stepped in a huge ice covered puddle and submerged them up to the ankle and my foot was completely dry. They seemed to be pretty true to size as well. Overall, a great product! The only complaint i have is that they could be a bit warmer.
