I put three coatings on, it wasnt sticky which was nice, but apparently I coated myself in insect attractant and was covered with bites. Literally, more bites than I have ever had in my life combined. I'm considering sending the pictures I took of my experience to Johnson & Johnson for an explanation. This product may as well have been kool-aid that I sprayed all over myself. Do not buy.

Same weather, same place twice as many bugs when I used this product. I was in the woods behind my house clearing a trail. The first day I went out without any repellent, and had a few flies here and there. The second day I went out covered head to toe in this product. I didn't even make it to the woods before I had three different kinds of flys on me (horse flys, deer flys, and some other smaller flys). All of the flys were biting and trying to crawl in my hair, which was also covered in OFF. I took a shower went back out, and had minimal problems.

We hate applying insect repellent because it is sticky and gross. We tried many different formulas and the one we like the most was a herbal lotion formula from Off. Still a bit sticky but at least the smell was not bad at all. At the start of the soccer season this spring, no matter how much we try to stay away from insect repellents, we could not avoid using it as gnats, mosquitos, ticks and other insects are pestering us the whole time. Gnats are circling over are heads...extremely annoying. My son is a goalie and could not concentrate on his game.
I found this new product from a grocery supermarket a couple of blocks from the soccer field. This is so different from previous products we knew; it is completely dry a few seconds upon application. Rub your skin and you don't feel any stickiness at all. Only during spraying is when you might try to hold your breath and close your eyes for a while, the smell is very strong. The smell is gentle once it is already on your skin. We also spray it at the back and top of the head. Works amazingly effective.
