Fantastic! November 10, 2008 CamelBak BPA-Free Better Water Bottle with Bite Valve This is a great product! It does NOT leak, is easy to carry and use, and lets you drink with the bottle in an upright position without getting any air.I like all the colors it's available in, too, so each family member can have his or her own. The price is nice, as well. Each bottle costs me the equivalent of just 4-5 purchased bottles of water, so I save both my pocketbook and the environment. Carrying this also reminds me to drink enough during the day!
Sturdy bottle, drips from the bite valve if it's not flipped closed. November 9, 2008 I've used this for about a month and it works pretty great. I chose the 0.5 liter, Berry color and it's a nice deep pink/fuchsia. It's sturdy and looks great. I like the little loop on the top which makes it easy to carry around with just a finger. It does drip from the bite valve if it's not in a vertical position. I tested it when I first got it. Filled it with water, bit down and drank some water, then turned it to a horizontal position and small drips of water came out from the bite valve. I turned it upside-down and the drips kept coming. At first I thought maybe the bite valve wasn't properly put on, so I adjusted it, but it still dripped. However, if the valve is flipped closed, it doesn't drip, even if it's laying on its side or upside down. So, this bottle is drip-proof when the bite valve is flipped closed.
Another issue is if you put in cold water, there'll be condensation around the outside of the bottle, and Camelbak doesn't make an insulation tube or bottle bag to fit the 0.5 liter bottles. They only have the ones that fit the 0.75 liter bottles. Also, the straw doesn't quite reach the bottom, and that can be a little annoying when you need to drink and you can't, even though there's about half an inch of water - the end of the straw is half an inch off from the bottom.
Overall, I'd still recommend this item - there are many nice colors to choose from, the design looks great, it is sturdy and drip-proof as long as the valve is in the "close" position.
Great Product November 8, 2008 I was looking for a bottle I could bring to the gym and wouldn't have to constantly struggle to open to get a quick drink. This is simple to open and doesn't leak when I knock it over or try to drink when I'm on the treadmill.
Fast delivery!!! November 5, 2008 The product is great. It is great to carry around. The only draw back is that when you tilt the water bottle it leaks a little from the top. But I love it and I take it to the gym all the time.
Awesome item November 4, 2008 Really enjoy this item. It is safe, enviro-friendly. I use it daily and the best part is it does not leak. Shipping was superfast. Thank you!
